The newly formed Foundation of Skopje Fair realized its first humanitarian action
Christmas gifts for their little friends
Small and great joy to the children of SOS Children's Village and "Zlatan Sremac" Home
From the beginning of its existence our company give donations regularly for the New Year and Christmas holidays to its young friends in Macedonian and Slovenia.
This year, we chose the children and young people from SOS Children's Village and the protégées of the home for children with disabilities "Zlatan Sremac in Skopje and we donated to them the anticipated funds.
We enhanced the mood of the children before the New Year holidays by presenting them warm blouses in different colours, winter head stripes, shirts, blankets, cups for milk and tea, covers for chairs and lots of other accessories that we gave to them on 28 and 29 December 2009.
In the honour of our visit the children expressed their sincere joy by New Year's music performances in their own musical choreography. Their cheerfulness carried us, and together with them for a moment we felt as being a part of this wonderful children's village and as if one of the houses were our home filled with much love, warmth and children's joy.
"... here is very nice and cheerful. We feel confident and happy, we have everything. Here everybody is good with us and everyone loves us very much. What we wish from Santa Claus is only love", were the sincere words of one of the little girls, the resident of the Children's Village.
This children and youth’s village has 69 children, 14 teenagers and one adult girl. The Children's Village consists of 12 beautiful villas with 12 "mothers" and 7 "aunts" who carefully take care of and look after the children.
SOS Children's Village is made up according to the Austrian model of this type of foster settlements for children without parental care, which are in more than 180 countries worldwide. Skopje Fair is a great and faithful friend to this children settlement from the very beginning of its existence in our country, since 2001, and it is truly a "warm home for every child”.
The Home for children with disabilities “Zlatan Sremac” from Skopje has over 100 children who learn in this specialized school. Our visit these days before the New Year’s holidays was really wonderful filled with exchanging gifts, much love, children’s joy and fun. We gave to these children what we could and they gave us much joy and sincere children's emotions.
The socializing with the children of both institutions was very nice experience to ERA Group, Skopje Fair and Humanopolis Foundation that soon will be repeated in a subsequent occasion.
The ERA Group, Skopje Fair and Humanopolis Foundation aim to strengthen their positions as a socially responsible entities not only by this traditional action but by means of other activities being prepared for the next Jubilee year, when Skopje Fair will celebrate 60 years its existence.
